A MONTH LATER
I looked over at my desk where my calendar was hanging. Arceus had told us the exact date of our baby boy's birth and he wasn't going to be early or late. Legendaries' babies stayed true to their due dates. Arceus had visited us a week ago to check on us and was absolutely furious when we told her that we had let humans into the house. I remembered that day as if it happened two seconds ago and I knew I would never forget it either:
-"Why did you do that?! HUMANS CANNOT KNOW THAT WE ARE REPRODUCING AMONG OURSELVES! IT'S TRUE THAT WE CAN'T REPRODUCE AS POKÉMON, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN WE CAN'T REPRODUCE AS HUMANS!"
-"But Arceus, they already knew that we are really Pokémon, so it shouldn't do us any harm!"
-"I DON'T CARE IF THEY KNOW THAT WE'RE REALLY POKÉMON! I DIDN'T WANT ANY HUMANS TO KNOW WE'RE REPRODUCING WITH EACH OTHER!"
-"But Arceus! I promised them that they could come see me give birth!"
-"NO! NO! NO! NO! THEY WILL NOT COME HERE! I WILL SEE TO THAT, TRUST ME! IF THEY COME WITHIN A HUNDRED FOOT RADIUS OF THIS PLACE ON THE DAY OF THAT CHILD'S BIRTH, I WILL LITERALLY RIP THEM INTO THOUSANDS OF TINY LITTLE PIECES!"
-"Arceus, no! You can't hurt them!" I wailed. My baby was trembling inside my stomach whenever Arceus started to yell.
-"I WILL IF IT KEEPS THEM AWAY! MAYBE I'LL ONLY KILL ONE AND MAKE THE OTHERS WATCH! THEN THEY'LL KNOW NOT TO COME ANYWHERE NEAR YOU!"
-"Arceus, we mentioned what will happen when she gives birth. We told them everything that you told us about the birth of the child," Keegan had said.
-"YOU DID WHAT?!?! DO YOU WANT ME TO FREAKING RIP ALL OF YOU INTO TINY LITTLE PIECES?!? HOW DARE YOU!!!"
I shuddered at the sight of Arceus completely pissed off. I had never seen anyone as mad as she was that day. Whenever I thought back on that day, my baby and I would both shutter in terror. Once Arceus had left, Keegan had gone to warn everyone to stay away. They were all extremely disappointed that they couldn't see me give birth and Keegan said that it was Arceus' rule. If they came anywhere near the house on my due date, Arceus would kill them for sure. They got extremely scared then and would steer clear of our house. I wondered if Arceus would let them see my baby after its birth. I looked over at the calendar that Keegan had set up that we used to count down to the baby's due date. I was extremely excited, for tomorrow, my baby would finally join us in the world. Josh was even more excited than I was, although it was a close call. Every time he would see me and my belly, he would suddenly get the jitters and start to dance around the room, singing random words. This would cause my baby to move around happily in my stomach and me to smile at the happiness of both of them. I would occasionally jump slightly and twitch when I would think about my baby's birth (since I couldn't jump around the room and dance and sing like Josh could). I had my own method for celebrating my baby's upcoming entrance into this world. I would rub my belly and speak to him. He would get super excited every time I mentioned his birth and move around a lot. He would also kick me in his excitement and would apologize to me through telepathy after I gasped out loud in pain.
Keegan and Josh had been extremely busy this past month, painting the rest of the baby's room, which was the first room in the hallway that had all the extra rooms. Keegan's room was across from it and he was not going to happy when the baby would wake him up in the middle of the night. Josh and I had decided that the first few weeks the baby would sleep in our room, so his crib was against the room right next to the window. Keegan and Josh would switch the furniture around in his room a lot and they couldn't decide on where to put everything. We had painted the room a soft baby blue, like my eyes. I would give some advice and all they'd do was just snap at me to go lie down. I would huff and storm off, causing quite some alarm to my child at my anger.
Keegan and I wanted to name the baby Anthony, but Josh wanted to name him after himself. Keegan and I both strongly disagreed on this idea and Josh started get into a really bad argument with Keegan (since he couldn't even force himself to argue with me). Plus Josh knew if he could argue with me, our baby would attack me until Josh had apologized. I usually laid down on my bed or the couch downstairs in front of the television. When I laid down on the couch, it made it easier for me to be involved in my brother and husband's conversations, since they rarely ventured into the bedroom. I would move whenever Josh and Keegan weren't looking, since they would always yell at me to lie down. The first time I moved down to the couch, Keegan and Josh both started to explain to me how unhealthy it was to do that. I just shrugged my shoulders and told them I wasn't hurting the baby when I moved. I also told them that the baby likes it when I walk around, since the walking puts him to sleep. He didn't like when I laid down all the time. Keegan and Josh couldn't argue with this, but they said to just call them when I wanted to move so they could help me. When I did call them, it would always be Josh that I contacted.
Over the past few days, we had discussed where I should be when I gave birth. Of course, the bed seemed more logical since more Legendaries could see me give birth. I would also be more comfortable on the bed than on the couch. Keegan wondered about if one of us wanted to hold him, then they would have to crawl across the bed to hold the baby. Josh just came back and said that I could hand the child over to them. I liked the idea of the bed more than the couch, so we settled on that. Since the couch was where I was going to give birth, I didn't move downstairs to the couch at all.
Josh opened the door and came in carrying a tray with some sandwiches and a bowl of nice hot soup. He set the tray down next to me and went around the bed. He crawled up next to me and helped me sit up. I couldn't sit up straight, since of course, my belly prevented that. Instead, I was leaning at a 45° angle and he helped me eat. He did this a lot more recently since my belly was so huge. He rubbed it anxiously and looked me in the eyes. His eyes were alight and sparkling and I truly have not seen him this happy since the day of my birth (oh yes, I could easily remember that day as if it had happened yesterday). We were both completely psyched for tomorrow and no one in this house could control themselves, not even my baby.
As the rest of the day flew by and nighttime was drawing near, we were almost literally bouncing off of the walls with excitement. Once we finished eating, I could barely sleep. Josh was tossing and turning next to me, disturbing the blankets a lot. I listened to the chatting Pokémon outside, which always calmed me down when I had trouble sleeping. Josh's tossing and turning was keeping me from relaxing, so I slapped him playfully upside the head. He growled at me and I flicked him softly on the ear.
"Josh, could you please stop moving around so much? I know how excited you are about tomorrow, and I'm really excited too, but it's going to be a busy day. So I'm trying to get calm so I can sleep better."
"Sorry, Autumn, I'll stop moving around so much," he whispered as he turned on his side and closed his eyes, trying to fight every inch of his excited body so it could get some sleep. After about an hour of relaxing, I finally fell into a deep sleep.
The next morning, I was awoken by Josh's pounding as he leaped around the room happily. I groaned, turned over and closed my eyes. My baby kicked me really hard and I jolted wide-awake. Josh jumped onto the bed, shaking the entire room.
"Sheesh, Josh, I never knew you could be so hyper!" I giggled as I pushed myself up. Josh leaned over me and kissed me on the lips and then started to jump up and down on the bed. "Josh, Josh, settle down!" I said as I laughed.
"I'm sorry, honey, but I'm just too pumped! What time did Arceus say that your baby was going to be born?"
"She said 12:30 was when the Legendaries are supposed to be here by. The baby's not going to be born until 1 o'clock."
"Oh man! It's only 8:45! I can't wait until 1 o'clock for my son to finally be born! I've been waiting for this day for far too long!"
"I know, I have too."
"How come you aren't hyper like I am?"
"First of all, I need to keep it cool or the baby will freak out. Second, I can't jump around like you can since I'm pregnant."
"Well, you'll only be pregnant for about another five hours! Holy crap! I have to wait five hours! That's too long! What am I going to do to pass time?!" Josh cried.
"Josh, why don't you come help me clean the house? I'm sure that will help pass time."
"Oh, but I want to stay with my wife during her last few hours of pregnancy!" Josh whined.
"Josh, I could really use your help," Keegan hissed.
"Keegan, once my baby is born, I will make it up to you by keeping you from cleaning for a couple of months," I said.
"Thanks, Autumn, but that won't be necessary. I don't mind cleaning. It takes my mind off things," he said. "Come on Josh, let's go." Josh groaned as he slid off the bed. He grumpily followed Keegan out of the door. I just smiled after them and rubbed my belly. My baby twitched at the feeling of my hand. He soon was going to be able to feel my hand on his own skin, even feel his dad's hands on his own skin. That got my baby really pumped.
A couple of boring hours later (it's now 10 o'clock), the doorbell rang.
"If that's Ash or someone else,  they better leave," Keegan grumbled as he walked up to the front door.  When he opened it, he gasped. "Arceus? What are you doing here so early?"
"Keegan, the Legendaries are going to show up randomly between now and 12:30. I'm always the first one at the place where the birth is going to happen. Now, I assume the soon-to-be-mother is upstairs in bed?" Keegan nodded and Arceus stepped over the threshold. Keegan shut the door behind her as Arceus started to climb the stairs. She soon entered my bedroom and she came up and sat down on the edge of the bed.
"I'm going to just tell you a few things that you'll need to know when you raise your newborn child. First things first, his growth spurt will not slow down." I groaned loudly. "Why are you so upset?"
"I want to keep my child for a while, not have him leave in about seven years instead of twenty-seven."
"Well, too bad Autumn. See, this is why you living as a human before this point was a bad idea. You've gotten used to the human way of birth and never experienced our own way of birth first-hand."
"Arceus, I don't know about human births at all, so how can I compare their births to ours?!"
"How was I supposed to know if you need about human births or not? I just suspected that because you would always talk about their births."
"That was Josh, Arceus, not me."
"Oh right, I forgot about that."
"Arceus, please do not tell me that you're getting Josh and I mixed up."
"Why would I get you two mixed up? You're two completely different people, let alone Pokémon."
"Celebi and Mew aren't that much different. We're both small, we're both cute, we're both powerful and we're both unique. Not to mention we're both really playful," I said.
"Autumn, all the Legendaries are powerful, so you really can't play that card," Arceus said.
"Well, Arceus, I know but it's still something that we all have in common, so it's worth mentioning."
"Autumn, I'm warning you, if you're going to mention it, you better mention all the other Legendaries too," Arceus hissed. My baby boy shook slightly in my belly at the sound of Arceus's rough voice. I shushed him quietly and Arceus just growled.
"Hey, it's not my fault that he's scared of you. You were the one who kept yelling last week."
"Yeah, because you ticked me off!"
"I could tell that you were extremely ticked off!"
"Guys, don't argue! Today's the day that Autumn will finally give birth!" Josh exclaimed, skipping into the room, smiling.
As the time ticked closer and closer to 12:30, more and more Legendaries arrived. No one arrived at the exact same time so Josh and Keegan were soon driven into insanity by rushing to the door every five minutes. Neither of them wanted to stand by the door alone, so they would rather just rush to answer the door every thirty minutes. Occasionally they would argue for a few seconds on who's turn it was to answer it. Arceus had gotten bored with me after a few seconds so she had gone back downstairs to socialize, leaving me all by myself. I could feel tears on my eyes as soon as I realized that no one was going to come up and talk to me. This happened around 10:09, and now the clock read 11:46. I had spent all of that time alone, which by now I was completely in tears. Josh and Keegan were trying their hardest to be good hosts, so they didn't have any spare time to come and just keep me company. Instead, I would hum quietly to my baby boy and he was really relaxed.
Once the clock said 12:50, Josh and Keegan both came inside the room to find me asleep. They woke me up worriedly and I swatted away Josh's hand like it was an annoying noise or something.
"Autumn! Wake up! There's only ten minutes until o'clock! Wake up! Come on, Autumn, wake up!" I suddenly jolted awake and jerked upwards, gasping heavily.
"Holy crap! I cannot believe I just fell asleep!"
"Why did you fall asleep? Did you not sleep well last night?"
"Well, there's that aspect of things, and also it was because I had nothing to do. You guys obviously don't realize that I've been up here by myself since…what time is it now? Holy cow! It's 12:50! Yeah, I've been up here by myself since 10:10!"
"Oh god, Autumn…" Josh whispered. "Honey, I had no idea…I'm so, so, so, so sorry for leaving you up here alone." He leaned forward and kissed me.
"Josh, I understand that you were busy taking care of everybody downstairs and I'm not mad at either of you. It's just I must've been extremely bored and sleeping was the only thing that could pass time."
"Oh, so you're not mad at Keegan or I?" Josh whispered and I shook my head, smiling.
At 12:55, the other Legendaries started to come in. They spread out all along the bed, with Arceus right by my head on my left side and Josh and Keegan on my right. My heart started to pound really hard as the clock ticked every second closer to 1 o'clock. Arceus pulled my shirt up so my baby would have an easy birth. My stomach was glowing on and off as the five minutes went by, getting brighter with each minute. Once it was one o'clock, it glowed extremely bright and I could feel my belly shrink. I could feel my baby on my now-flat stomach, and he sat perfectly still. As soon as the glow went away, he blinked so his eyes would adjust to the light. Once his vision was crystal clear, he gazed at me. He gave me a huge smile, showing two rows of perfectly white and full grown baby teeth. I blinked at the sight of these and Arceus flicked my head.
"Autumn! Stop it! Did you expect your kid to have no teeth? They eat human food, therefore, they need teeth to chew meat and bread and stuff! Come on and stop acting all surprised every time you see something different with your baby than with human babies!"
"I'm sorry, Arceus, but you should've warned me about his teeth!"
"I didn't need to warn you about anything. You should be used to the differences between your child and a human child by now!" My son crawled up closer to me and gave me a giant hug. Since he was closer to me, I could see little green hairs sticking up from the top of his head. So his hair color will take after his father's, huh? He looked into my eyes and I smiled. They were the exact same shade as mine. Josh's eyes were a shade darker than mine were, and I have seen his eyes long enough to know that my baby's eyes were my color. I kissed his forehead and then he asked for Josh.  I handed him over to my husband carefully and Josh cradled him in his arms. He grabbed Josh's shirt with his tiny fists and snuggled into his chest.
"Autumn, I think you were right about naming him Anthony. I don't know why, but I just have a feeling that he's an Anthony."
Sorry this took so long. My mom took away my laptop yesterday just because I didn't make my bed. She said if I don't make it every morning, she's gonna take it away for the day. She also said that she wants me to start doing things around the house. :wtf: what does making my bed have to do with helping around the house?!?! my mom's a bee-yotch and sometimes i just wanna smack her. shes so annoying!!!

Anyway... little baby Anthony!!! awwww!!!
