A Mew's Tale Part 16

"Guys, relax, I'm not here to hurt you, I promise. I just want to explain my actions and say that I'm sorry."
"How can you expect to be forgiven after what you've done to my wife and your own sister?!" Josh cried.
"Josh, calm down. Let him explain," I whispered, taking his hand.
"First things first, I want to explain why I attacked you after you charged at me. I thought you were going to attack me violently, so I started to attack first so I would have the upper hand. I had gone out of control then, so I couldn't stop myself when I continued to attack you. Deep down inside of me, I had known that attacking you like I was had been wrong, but I couldn't force myself to stop. I don't know what happened to me, but when you charged at me like you did, something arose from the deepest part of my body. I was reacting to what you were doing."
"Keegan, didn't you realize that I had stopped as soon as you said that you knew it was coming?"
"I did, but for some strange reason, I couldn't control  my own body. I was out of control and I couldn't stop myself."
"How come you were out of control like that?" I asked.
"I don't know. At one moment, I was completely under control and then next I was crazed and out of control."
"I know who was behind it," a voice said. Arceus appeared, holding onto a struggling Darkrai.
"Darkrai made me go out of control?!" Keegan cried.
"Of course he did!" Arceus snapped, shoving Darkrai down on the ground.
"Ouch! Watch where you're throwing me, Arceus!" Darkrai groaned.
"Darkrai, why'd you do it?"
"Because, I wanted to see what would happen. If Autumn could almost destroy their house, I wanted to see what Keegan could do. I didn't know he would take out all of his anger on his sister, but it was extremely fun to watch! I felt like I was watching a comedy/action movie! It was the best day of my life!" Darkrai exclaimed happily as he hoisted himself to his feet.
"DARKRAI, THAT WAS NEITHER FUNNY NOR NICE!" Keegan screamed. He stormed up to Darkrai and gave him a hard punch right in the nose, breaking his nose just like he had done to mine.
"Hey!" Darkrai cried as he punched Keegan back.
"Darkrai, stop it! I'm not happy with you right now!" Arceus cried, grabbing him by his collar and dragging him backwards. "Don't worry. I will personally deal with Darkrai and he's going to get some serious beatings from me. Come on, pal, let's go." Arceus did not say 'pal' in the nice way. She teleported away with Darkrai in tow.
"Darkrai was behind this the entire time! I should've known!" Keegan said, slapping his forehead. "Man, was I stupid!"
"Whatz goin' on?" Sora mumbled as she stumbled down the stairs, rubbing her eyes.
"Arceus just came by saying that Darkrai was behind my crazy attack last night."
"He was?!" Sora cried, suddenly awake.
"Yes, he was behind it the entire time. Keegan couldn't even control his own body."
"Whoa! What's going to happen to him?"
"Arceus said she's going to personally deal with him."
"Thank goodness. Maybe he'll finally learn a new lesson."
"Unfortunately, you can't teach an old Legendary new tricks. Darkrai will always be Darkrai and there's nothing we can do to change that." My sons came pounding down the stairs, which caused Keegan to groan.
"Oops, I guess I woke everybody up. Sorry, guys."
"Oh Keegan, don't apologize!" Sora exclaimed happily, winking at him. He smiled back at her and Sora blushed and looked down at her feet in embarrassment. Keegan suddenly changed the topic and excitedly slapped his fist into his other hand.
"Hey, how about I make pancakes!" he exclaimed.
"Hon, you make the best pancakes," Deoxys said, coming down the stairs carrying her daughter. That made me suddenly remember that I had just conceived triplets. Josh, reading my thought, announced it out loud.
"Autumn and I are proud to say that we'll be expecting more children in five months." Everyone froze and looked at him.
"No…way…" Sora gasped. Everyone else just stared blankly at Josh and I.
"What? What's wrong?" Josh mumbled.
"Nothing…umm…congratulations," Deoxys mumbled, shifting the young Autumn to her other side.
"Is there something wrong with that?" Josh snapped.
"Hey, relax, okay?" I whispered, grabbing onto his arm and tugging on it. I pulled him down on the couch and snuggled up against him. I could hear Deoxys and Keegan murmuring to each other in the kitchen while she helped Keegan cook.
"Since your sister is now pregnant, you have to get me pregnant." Josh stood up suddenly and stormed off into the kitchen.
"Is this some kind of competition now? Why do you guys want to be expecting a baby whenever we are?! It's totally unnecessary and I don't like the idea at all! Why do you guys have to do this?!"
"Josh, relax, it's not a competition, it's just we…" Deoxys said.
"No, it's a competition! You guys obviously want to expect a baby around the same time we are! You guys don't want us to have all the attention like you did the last time!"
"Josh, what are you talking about?" I said, coming up next to him.
"Autumn, you obviously don't know that their daughter is a day younger than Drew and Evan! They don't want our children to have all the attention!"
"You know what, Josh. You're exactly right," Keegan said.
"Huh?" I asked.
"Autumn, it's true. We got married on the day of Evan and Drew's conception and I got Deoxys pregnant the next day. We didn't want your precious little twins to get more attention than our baby girl."
"Oh, I can see how your family is going to end up, now," I snapped. "You're going to spoil all of your children beyond belief! Well, Keegan, if you get Deoxys pregnant in the next week, I won't speak to you ever again!"
"Autumn…don't be like this!" he exclaimed.
"Keegan, I don't like the way you're treating your little girl! You're spoiling her by giving her all of your attention! That's not the way you raise a child! If you spoil them, when they're older, they'll think of themselves as the best person to have ever lived because they got everything they ever wanted when they were young! That's not the good way to raise your children!"
"Mom's right, Uncle Keegan," Anthony said. "I know that I'm not spoiled and neither are my younger brothers. I know my younger sisters are going to be spoiled the same amount that me, Evan and Drew are."
"Wait, sisters?"
"Yeah, Mom's expecting baby girls," Anthony replied, shrugging.
"How many?"
"Does it matter how many? I know that if you get Aunt Deoxys pregnant any time soon, it won't beat Mom."
"I just want to know how many girls Autumn's expecting."
"Bro, I'm expecting three."
"WHAT?!" Keegan yelped, jumping back in surprise. "You're going to have triplets?!"
"Yes, why are you so surprised? See, Anthony was right. Deoxys can never beat me this time. She'll always be one step behind me, even after the both of us are done having our children."
"That may be so…" Keegan started to say, but Deoxys grabbed his elbow and shook her head.
"Keegan, Autumn is right, so there's no point in arguing anymore. Let's finish making breakfast." Keegan just sighed and he and Deoxys turned back to making breakfast. Josh stepped in and made food for my Pokémon. I joined in and helped him, giving him pointers on the taste of the food. We were building a large barn for my Pokémon to live in and we were also going to clear a big pasture and build a fence so any of the young ones won't go running off.
"Autumn, Deoxys and I have decided that we're going to build a house right next to yours. Well, actually, Palkia said he'll move our current house here and clear a big pasture for your Pokémon just like you were thinking just now."
"Thanks, Keegan." Josh and I finished making the food before Keegan and Deoxys finished our breakfast. My sons helped Josh and I carry the bowls out to my Pokémon. It was September, so the air was just about perfect for my Pokémon, but winter was going arrive soon. We already had flags were the barn was going to go and all we needed to do know was gather the materials and clear the land. Palkia sent us a message after breakfast that he would clear the land around noon and transport Keegan and Deoxys's house here. He also said that he and the rest of the Legendaries would help build the barn. I went outside with my sons to play with my Pokémon. Nine little Eevees came running up to me. Izzy and Emmah were the first ones to reach me. I knew Izzy dreamed of becoming a Jolteon while Emmah wanted to be a Flareon. I picked Emmah up and held her while I scratched the other Eevees on their soft heads. My two adult Leafeons came trotting up to me and I smiled at them both.
"You two have done a fine job with all these little ones," I whispered, kissing them both on their foreheads. My female Leafeon seemed to have overcome her shyness, which surprised me greatly.
"It was because of all the traveling and protecting my mate," she replied when I asked her about it. I asked further questions on their travels.
"Did you all stay out of your Pokéballs?"
"No, Chimchar, Lucario and Garchomp did though. They let us all out whenever they stopped for a meal or for rest. Whenever we stopped to camp for the night is when we laid an egg."
"Did you ever run into trainers who tried to capture you?"
"All the time. Garchomp and Lucario easily drove them off. They were unstoppable."
"All of you are unstoppable, even these little adorable Eevees are." One of them jumped on top of Emmah's head and licked my face. "Who are you?" I whispered, scratching her head gently.
"That one is Abbey, who dreams of becoming a beautiful Espeon."
